Between sets of the band Common Ground at the Crystal Lake Lakeside Fest today, Jori sang a few songs. She apparently has just come out of Prairie Ride HS in 2012 and she sang and played several songs on her guitar. I was very impressed. She was singing some pretty hefty interval jumps and nailing the pitch and she had a very nice vibrato. She also had some great breath control. Although her voice wasn't real distinctive from many other singers, she obviously had a very good ear and good stage presence. She's been out in front people before. She definitely has something going here and I'm sure we will be hearing more of her in the future. It would be kind of like the way Kimberly Wolff started out and is now sounding like the real pro she's become. I'm hoping Jory hung around to see Kimberly Wolff, who was on after Common Ground.
