Dorian Castle is interesting. He's a single act on electronic keyboard (Yamaha) and he's got a great voice and is an excellent player. What I heard at the Gala was a little "loungey" for me but he was very good at everything he played. His PA system wasn't loud enough at the beginning of his set but he ended up somehow plugging into Jiggle The Handle's PA that was being set up for the next performance and Dorian sounded much better.
Check out his web site at http://www.doriancastle.com/ He's very accomplished musically and has some great awards and recognition. Although I don't know how his keyboard works, it sounded like he could put together his own arrangements of the songs and he did a great job of that. The keyboard had a great sound but it still had that I-know-it's-a-brass-section-playing-but-it-still-sounds-like-an-electronic-keyboard sound.
Dorian Castle was a joy to hear for the first time but he's not exactly my kind of thing, if you know what I mean. I think he's for the older types out there ... and there really is nothing wrong with that.
