I blogged about these guys last year and I promised that this year, I'd go back and see some of the bands I wrote about last year to see if I still felt the same way about them. I'm not even going to read my previous post to refresh my memory.
You know, these guys are not the best musicians around but you know, they have soul. They sound like they really like to play and just plain have a love for the music. They play whatever they want and don't do hardly any of the songs everyone else does. They play a lot of original material. That's something you don't hear often anymore. I really have to hand it to them. They are very unlike anyone else in the area and they've been around for a while doing exactly what it is they want to do.
Again, I applaud the Blue Shield Band and although I don't think they'll get rich doing what they do, I get the feeling that getting rich is not the primary focus of why they play as a band. They just seem to plain love it.
